'So you'd think that being a poet, and part of a collective such as The Funpowder Plot for over three years would yield many videos based around pre-written concepts of mine, but no, nothing. If you ask any of us why this is, we wouldn't be able to answer, an oversight, perhaps, a travesty, for sure, but now, this has changed. World of the day was confirmed as our next project after a recital at one of our meetings, and everybody's heads have been whizzing with ideas ever since. This video is probably the first where each one of us has had massive input and played a huge part in the direction and ideas process, a truly collective effort. The more you watch, the more you may notice in terms of symbolic imagery and the concept of having your senses assaulted by the media and opinion from the moment you wake, but also how blase we are in our consumption of art and the bombardment of messages all around us that influence our day to day lives. This is the world of the day, throw-away, consumable, and laid out on a plate for all to enjoy. Eat up.' - The Freewheelin' Troubadour

'After 12 hours of filming, over 3 and a half months of post production, disagreements, circle jerks, fist fights, high fives, and blood pouring from Ash's eyeballs... we are proud to present World of the Day. Working like a music video without the music, this elaborate concept revolves around the words of our local prophetic poet The Freewheelin' Troubadour, and stands as the most ambitious project we have ever attempted, in terms of technique and collective input, as well as the only video where each member played such a pivotal role. Through all the hard work and unconditional attention (mostly from Mr. Cooper, let it be known), a magical baby has been born, full of symbolism and cynicism, and the pride I know each one of us feel over this specific project is fairly unrivaled as a unit.
